How to Make Your Video the Perfect Size for Your Website

by Steven Washer on February 15, 2011

You go into business to have more control over your life, right? So why is it that everything wants to spin out of control all day long? Darned if I know. Maybe John Lennon was right: “Life is what happens while you’re making other plans.”

You don’t know who’s going to watch your videos on YouTube. You don’t know what videos YouTube is going to serve up next to yours. You sure as heck don’t know how many people will watch your video.

So all you can do is even the odds in your favor. Well, there are a few little things you can do to take back control, and some of them even come with YouTube’s blessing. Imagine! One of them is being able to produce your video for your website in the exact size you want, and still get YouTube’s inherited popularity.

And it’s silly simple to do. Want to know how? Just take a gander at this video:

Another thing it sometimes feels like we have little or no control over is sales. Yes, you can substitute massive numbers of cold calls, but that’s not especially suited to the kind of business you’re in. What works is providing value in a way that allows others to know, like and trust you from afar.

That’s the theme of this huge online event that my colleague, Bill Baren, is throwing, starting in just a couple of weeks. And the whole kit and kaboodle is going to be absolutely without cost.

Bill is bringing together some of the world’s best known conscious business experts and visionary leaders, like Tim Ferris, Lynne Twist, David Neagle, Adam Urbanski, Christine Kloser, Molly Gordon, Kendall SummerHawk and so many more. And I’m thrilled to be a guest speaker and contribute to this important topic. Our mission is to inspire and empower you with powerful mindsets and tangible expert knowledge needed to create trusted relationships with your ideal clients. So that you get paid what you deserve, for doing what you love.

Everyone talks about how important it is for potential clients to get to know, like, and trust you, and have a relationship with you, before they are ready to invest with you.

I know Bill, and I know some of these amazing people. So I can tell you that this event is not going to be a pitch fest. I would expect to come away with some powerful business-building insights.

The event is starting soon, so claim your spot now:

I look forward to “seeing” you there!
