What’s Your Video Question?

by Steven Washer on October 13, 2015

I think it’s time I got back to making videos. I feel like it’s been ages since I brought you anything really cool.

So please watch the 90 second video below to see how you can participate.

By the way, did anything happen around here while I was asleep; anything I should know about? ๐Ÿ™‚

Below is the link I talk about in the video. You should click on it. It’s for free stuff. Good stuff. Really cool stuff, I hope.

What’s Your Challenge?

Yep. This is me today, Josh. I finally was able to decide not to worry about my voice anymore.
Now my hair? That’s another matter entirely. ๐Ÿ™‚

Steve
It’s great to see you back – your voice is fine – nothing to worry about – we’ve missed you.

But as you say: your hair is another matter ๐Ÿ™‚

Not much I can do about that short of going bald, but I’m not ready for that! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Steve,
Good to see you back and in form.

Video Question.
You have used YouTube to host the video above. Are you still in favour of YUVID and Amazon S3 hosting?

Regards,

Jim

Of course! Every video maker needs it.

Video marketing includes a number of tactical ideas. Here’s the idea for this week:

If you want to get the most response from the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time, then using YouTube can be a good strategy. You can promote the video and get even more responses that way. This is the strategy I am using with this video. I really am curious about what people want in this area today.

However, YouTube is also capricious, and has no problem taking your videos down for no reason they will share with you, so it’s always best to wrap your video in a secure Yuvid container. This way, if your video is shared from your website, all it takes is one click in the dashboard, and all those video embeds pop back up again, and there’s nothing YouTube can do about it.

With our player, you can display the video so that only the YouTube player shows, or it can be displayed inside your own frame. It’s up to you.

So in this little YouTube case study, Yuvid is about really owning the content you only think you own without it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello Steve,
Been following you for a while. Done video for construction and Real estate. What economical camera can I purchase to hook directly to my computer to do video’s. I thought I could use my web cam but I find you can not hook up sound. So I have already spent some money on things that don’t work. I need a HD camcorder. You had a video a couple years a go going over inexpensive camera. Not the one you made recently. Let me know.
Thanks,
Vaughn

If you really want to make videos with a webcam, then the only one to get is the Logitech C920. It has a microphone built-in, so as long as you stay very close to the camera, you’ll be just fine.

And it’s pretty cheap to boot!
