WTG Steve – very well explained. BTW, for those who regularly use S3, I love the S3 Browser which will simultaneously upload SEVEN concurrent threads/streams (really a time saver for moving several large video files, which it automatically fragments and recomposes).

2 quick questions:
1. What size do you make the thumbnail
2. With EVS and Wistia the different video types are created “behind the scenes” and the viewer is fed whatever version is compatible with the device he/she is using.
Question: If we make our 3 versions, who now decides which version to feed to the viewer?
Perhaps this will be answered in the next video but just in case it isn’t going to be. (-:

With the cloudfront you talked about in this video, what is the
difference between it and RTMP streaming using cloudfront.
Is it as secure as RTMP?
And are you going to cover protecting your video content
at any stage?

RTMP is the streaming protocol. I didn’t talk about it in the video because it’s only used for live streaming. Most of our folks don’t have a need for that. Maybe in the future, but right now it’s mostly a distraction.
The security features of any form of display are fed more by marketing than reality. 🙂

I add my praise also for your fine work. I’m wondering if you plan to show us how to create and install the social media buttons (like above)? I really have a need for that bit of help ASAP (for this new web site I’ve just put up). I’ve had a little gal in way-off Nepal create them and install them for me….but, every time I do an update (add something to the web site) it erases the coding she has put on the site for the buttons and I have to have her redo it. If you are going to show us how…and I have the code for each button, I should be able to do it myself, right?
