Why bother going on camera? (or do as I say not as I do)

by Steven Washer on August 25, 2014

why bother being on camera?Have you ever noticed how sometimes it’s way better to take the advice that isn’t given?

In the case of going on camera, it’s often better to watch how someone is saying something rather than listen to exactly what they say.

That’s because there is nearly always a critical piece that’s unsaid. The reason is simple. If it was said out loud, it could cause problems for the advice-giver.

I think it’s easier to watch this video to get the story rather than have me try to explain it all in words.

I will say this, though. If you ever want to make inroads into your market by virtue of your ideas, there are very few good ways to do it.

Don’t let this one get taken away from you…

And yes, this is going away very soon.

Dear Steve-san:

Very well done inspirational/aspirational combo-as always.

I partucularly enjoyed the narrative flow, the use of words like ‘inconvenient truth’ in new contexts and the brief cut away to Bob Newhart.

Your central message is persuasive if ultimately not personally convincing.

Best regards,

Harold

Thanks for the kind words, Harold. As for helping you to a new and higher place on the subject of video, well, just keep watching. We’ll get to you eventually! 🙂

Wow Steve!
Just hitted the spot again!!
Absolutely we must face our fears and make the world better spreading our message.
Just remembering that the word ‘courage’ (that in portuguese is ‘coragem’, very similar), comes from the junction of ‘cor’ and ‘agere’ that in latin means ‘act with your heart’.
So let´s be moved by our heart, not just by our minds trained to be affraid of everything.
Thanks for sharing!!

Cheers from Brazil!!

Thanks for that observation, Lucas! I love how Latin reveals more meaning behind what we thought we knew already.

Great info as always Steve. You must be talking to me in your demographic with the clip of Ross.

It’s too bad he insisted on 100% logical arguments. He might have been a helpful dude to have in the White House!

Steve: I love how you surreptitiously – but legimimately – position yourself as a guru by criticising an endemic guru practice. Question: Does the current Mastery course comprise the identical 2 modules hived off from Audience Builder’s Blueprint 2.0, or have these modules been updated/fleshed out?

I’m a guru? Whoops. 🙂

I love the material from ABB 2.0 because it’s just the right starting point for everyone. After that we go deep into Roles.

I’ve also added 3 live hangouts where our members get one-on-one help. We started doing this for Lucrative Video Blogging and the results were too wonderful to leave there. This is one of the things I’m most looking forward to.

Just a very quick thank you, Steve. You make everything look so effortless – the hallmark of authenticity.

Being frivolous for a moment, glad you didn’t restrict yourself to radio otherwise, amongst other things, we wouldn’t have seen your twinkling eyes!

Thank you again and much further success to your future.
