I’ve been following your educational videos and tips for awhile now and this most recent series is absolutely stirling, both in terms of your production and your insight into online marketing. And of course, you have one of the most personable styles of presentation out there these days. My brother is a video editor, but he’s still mired in the “old-school” and doesn’t understand the potential of online video and where it’s going, and I’ve recommended he check out your site and learn from you. In fact, everyone in the online world ought to be checking you out regularly. Looking forward to see what you have up your sleeve for next time.

4 hours of trying, editing, and swearing. And I couldn’t figure out how to make the light better. It’s too shiny. Just used natural daylight in front of the window.
Have to go back in your videos to see how you put the text in…
(But hey, at least it’s better than the first one)

It’s a great start, Sven! It will get easier as you go. As for lighting, you can reduce the brightness overall in your editing program. All of them have that basic function. If you’re going to do a lot of jump cuts, it’s probably best to change up the size of the shot to cover, but this was really a great first effort. The music was good as well, though it initially came in a bit hot.

Yes, tried the lightening option inside Screenflow, but that didn’t repair anything. For the music, I probably cut off the first seconds…the drum solo.
The jump cuts will also disappear in the next videos (need more practice because talking is different from writing)
Only bad thing is that iMovie and Screenflow don’t have fancy text options.
I’m going to prepare the next video now. It makes fun! 😉
